Dr. G. Praveen Sambandham is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Specialist with advanced fellowship training from Aravind Eye Hospital. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of retinal disorders, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular diseases, and other complex vitreoretinal conditions.

He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Vels Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, where he actively contributes to patient care, academic excellence, medical education, and clinical research.
